my buddy got a blaster it didnt have spark so i took whole wire harness out and bought aftermarket one im getting fire i cleaned carb and new spark plug but still wont run im decent with a wrench and basic mechanics but any and all would be appreciated

Will it run if you put fuel down the carb inlet?
Compression over 120psi?
Sparkplug isn't wet/engine not flooded?

If no 🔥 on above, your back to ignition/timing.

If it fires when you put gas into the intake, check to see that gas is flowing to carb and you can see daylight through the main jet and air bleed.
If not they are plugged. Micro drill bits are handy here.

Also check crank seals and carb boot for cracks.

ok so i have not checked compression quick question if there is no motor oil in the bottom end then will it affect compresion. ive filled it with oil new plug coil cdi and tested stator the key is in correct place for timing weight ive sprayed starting fluid but if jets are clogged them im guessing it wont get thru to make fire from spark?

Definitely could be clogged.
Check compression.
My sled will show 120psi with the piston slapping around in the bore a ridiculous amount. But will not start. On a rebuild, it shows 125psi and fires immediately. Probably not scavaging the crankcase properly.

Being a two stroke there is very little oil in the bottom of the engine. (Oil is in the clutch)

"Junkyard diggs" just posted a blaster build on YouTube , go watch that, do the compression check and report back.

Engine needs fuel, air, compression, well timed spark to run.
Take away any one of those and no joy.
Chinese cdi boxes fire from a trigger coil that senses a rotating magnet , if it's functional it should fire, it may not run great at high rpm...

So you've added fuel directly to the cylinder and it still didn't fire with good spark?

Plug was dry, not wet, not fouled?

What do you have for compression?

Sounds like an engine rebuild is in your future. (K700 saw with custom decompression slot for reference)
