Very odd problem with 03KX250, thoughts?

I've been dealing with the most frustrating issue for 2 years now to no avail. Best way to describe it would be an overly rich off idle situation much like when you're first warming up most 2 strokes. The bike will run flawlessly throughout the whole rpm range it's just that few feet exiting a corner that's an issue. Here's the puzzling part, it runs perfect at times then starts acting up again, it ran all last summer perfectly then just started doing again recently!! The other baffling thing is typically however it runs the first time you fire it up for the day is how it will run for that whole day regardless of how many times you start it.

As you know intermittent problems turn into throwing parts at it once you've checked and tried everything, so far I scored an extra coil and CDI box to rule those out, carb has been thoroughly gone threw, the choke has been replaced and the bike gets a fresh top end every year yet the issue continues. To me it sounds electrical with it running perfectly for months then right back to the off idle hesitation so next I'll inspect the harness for a partially damaged wire?

Any thoughts?

I think good chance you're on the right track with a bare or loose wire somewhere. Moisture in kill switch?
OHM out your stator and ignition coil. Make sure fly wheel woodruff key isn't worn. Always bust out a meter before throwing electronic parts at it. Also a leak down test wouldn't hurt either

check the needle jet. If it is wallowed out then that makes off idle jetting too rich.
The inconsistency of the problem may be due partly to weather changes if the jetting is right on the edge of being too rich down low.

I don't think weather has anything to do with seeings how it's ran both perfectly and poorly in every condition. The spark plug is slightly on the darker side of coffee with cream so it's close, maybe a bit rich. I'll be going through the carburator again tomorrow so I'll look at the idle mixture screw.

Thanks
