when i put my crank in the cases with the main bearings installed in the cases. the crank will move side to side in the cases when i push on one side of the crank and then on the other. Any on else have this problem? Do i have the right bearings?

no i dont. i was thinking about going to bikebandit.com and buying some oem bearings and seeing if that would fix the problem. OR just getting the part numbers and getting some from napa.

side to side play isnt bad as long as it isn't too much, vertical play is what you should be worried about, any vertical play at all and your screwed

I think he's talking about where the rod meets between the 2 sides of the crank, mine had some minor play in there when I re-assembled it, I didn't put it together the first time, but it runs great, and I've heard of this before, but someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah....their should be VERY little if any play there. Especially on a machine with a bell style flywheel. You can have lateral Rod play and that is normal, but the tolerance for crankshaft play is like only .004 of an inch on those.
