Hello,

First post on here! I have an 87 LT250r and I am going to try out some new reeds. My wife treated me to a set of V Force 3 reeds.

I have everything cleaned up and ready to go.. I am stuck on one thing. Do you install they gaskets dry? or use something like Permatex High Tack and butter up the gaskets?

Thanks
Matt

When doing a leak down test, I've never had much luck getting things to actually seal good with dry gaskets, so some high tack or similar product I normally use as well.

In a "perfect" world (the factory) probably not. But on parts that have been used and abused I usually use something, depending on the parts/location. Clutch covers I prefer something non-permanent, Permatex #2 or maybe silicon/RTV
