Polaris 300 4x4 now blowing air out of intake

I have a 1995 Polaris 300 4x4 and I have recently done some work I just swapped a new transmission in and replaced the base and head gasket in the motor I have it all back together and when I try to start it it will start but not idle and has no power it blows alot of air out of the intake and I can't figure out why it seems like the ignition could be off but I didn't mess with that does anyone have any ideas as why this could be? When I put the motor back together I made sure the pins lined up on the pistons so I don't think it's an engine problem but I'm not sure
