now if you only had the bolts the assemble it!!!!!! how bout some pics.
i have a few picts of the frame posted. when i get the rest of the shocks and the arms i'll post more picts
My friend picked up those American Star a-arms (I have them too). We put them on the other weekend and the first ride out with them they got bent. Another friend took it for a ride and smacked the lower right one into a big rock. It bent straight back right where the bottom shock mount is. One of his brand new Works Triple Rates got pushed into the back of the top a-arm, it only brushed it though so it's not bent or anything.

It just sucked cuz we were planning on going to the motorcross track the next morning. They have a lifetime warranty with them though. The only hard part was getting the right # to call for the warranty. He sent it out and he should be getting a new one within 2 weeks. It just sucks because that's 2 weeks without riding... unless he wants to take my 350X out, haha!!!

Hey bigkahun74, if ya don't mind me being nosy... how much did that frame cost ya?

PA_BANSHEE, no i don't mind saying what the frame costed me. because honestly everyone on here probably thinks i paid out my ass for it. when i only paid $485
Where did you pick that one up at? I have a brand new frame on mine, but the only problem is that there are no #'s on it and I don't have a title. That has its ups and downs. Sure it doesn't "exist" but I also can't get it back if it's impounded (I know, what are the chances that anyone will catch me  ). I am just looking into getting a new frame with papers so I can be legit.
with the situation of not have any #'s stamped on your frame. all you have to do is go to your DMV to get a registration #, sure with doing that your going to have to pay tax on your quad every year, but it's only going to be around $30. then you'll have a regest. #. take your quad along with your new # to your local dealership and have them stamp that # in to the frame. if you bought the frame through them then they should do it for free. if you just replaced your old frame you can get that # stamped in to it too. by the way anytime you buy a brand new frame from yamaha they come with no #'s or stamp. hope this helps you out.
i guess i didn't answer your question about where i got my frame at.. i bought it at my local dealship in northwest indiana
New Hampshire must be more laid back than most states all you need is a bill of sale to register in NH and they don't even check the bike so you can just make up numbers. Bad thing is there is no way for them to track something if you get your ATV stolen. Had 2 brand new sleds and trailer stolen one year the day before a week long trip. Insurance covered it but still sucked since it was $25,000 dealer got new sleds for us I made out pretty good because he couldn't get a MXZ X package so I got just a 700 MXZ at his cost and then at the end of the year he bought it back at his cost. Then I got a 600H.O MXZ Rev.
i think it just depends on which DMV you go to. some will not even look at it and then some of them will go out and take a picture of it. but i would rather get a # stamped on to it and pay the $30 a year on taxes for it. that way there is a way to track it. plus i also keep all reciepts.

sounds like you made out real nice on that deal, except for the part where they got stolen the night before your trip. i would have been mad as hell. were they evr recovered?
See NH the registration is not through the DMV but through Fish and Game. Which means we go down to a atv dealer and fill out a form and they give us our registration stickers. I have never brought my bike for them to look at or anything. Also we don't pay tax for anything but prepared food. So it would be worth the thought of buying a ATV or whatever from up here and bringing it back home. People from Mass. do that all the time
thats cool. here it's all kinds of messed up. if you build your own quad and use a brand new frame thats not stamped (like i am) then you have to get a registraition # from the DMV, then get it stamped from a dealership. then you are suppose to have all ORV registered through the DNR (department of natural rescources) but very few people do. and the DNR don't come around checking. but they are quick toimpound your quad for anything. in the county the 370banshee lives they'll get the helicopter out if they catch you riding on the rode and you try to out run them. it's crazy
i didn't knwo you had to take the quad to the DMV??? i thought you just got it stamoped at the dealship taht you bought it and they had yamaha send you a C.O. for it. both my banshees have the VIN's but i only have a bill of sale for the 96. actually noe that i think about it i'm not sure if the 87has # on it or not. oh well that frame is gonna get a 650 motor anyway. oh yeah for impound in indiana you don't even need a C.O. to get it out all you need is the reciept that you registerd the quad. and the impound yard will give you the VIN off the bike so you can register it. my brother found that out 14 cop cars later
yeah Bad_LT had a problem with cops. we ran they chased liek i said all 14 of them. they had town cops, county cops, state cops, and conservation officers(dnr). they never actually caught him. he actually gave up. but the cops did say that they had a heli on standby equipped with infrared. not sure why they made such a big deal. he was riding on land with permission. he and 4 friends got there quads impounded. thats all though. cost him $80 to get his old blaster out after that. he almost giot arrested but since he was a minor they just slapped him on the wrist and gave my mom a warning.

another guy out here got in lots of trouble for riding. he was headed down a gravel road way out in the country and a cop in an SUV came up behind him and flipped on the lights. well this kid had a modded blaster and he just took off. i guess the cop chased him up to about 70 mph. then the kid hit a field. the cop followed him in but couldn't catch him. little did this kid know that the field he was in had roads on all sides of it. he got to the other side and tree cop cars surrounded him. the cops drew there guns and arrested him. he went to jail and had to bail out i think it cost him about $400 to get out then klike another $500 for a lawyer. plus $100 impound fee. $1000 down the drain because some prick f*ckin cop. that cop is the same guy that tried to arrest my little bro too. i on the other hand have ran from cops a few times. they've never caught me though. i actually outran a cop when i was on my friends honda 300 utility. yep a 300cc 4 crap. that cop was less than happy. i wasn't doing anything wrong. the cops out here just suck. no that i have the banshee i welcome any cop to f*ck with me when i'm riding on the property that i have permission to ride on. i guess it doesn't help that i had a jag off for a neighbor that called the cops anytime he heard my quad start up. i tell you what the day that that SOB had a heart atteck and died was a great day in my book. i'm not actually as big of a heartless asshole as i sound but this guy was a dickhead in every sense of the word. well anyway i'm cooled off now.

ok i got a tad out of hand with my last post. i'm appoligizing for it now. kind funny that the moderator has the worst language on here. well no body cus more that me please. i'd hate to have to edit somebody for doing what i do.
i'm glad your apologizing, but we are all adults here i think. if people can't handle a little bit of foul language then they need to be on the web. and besides i don't know anyone who rides quads that doesn't swear ocasionally, especially after they race a 4 stroke. the first thing they say is "fuck yeah another 4 banger smoked." and then there are those who ride the 4 strokes, they aren't as happy about getting beat by 2 strokes. i'm not going to quote any of thier says, i'm not trying to get kick out.
Pennsylvania sucks now. Just a few years ago they started this crap where you are supposed to have insurance coverage on your atv and you need to get a license plate for it and keep paying to get it registered. My 2 buddies have license plates, but they never put them on. That's just one more way for big brother to track you down! They did put insurance on them right when they bought them to register them, but now they don't. It's insane what they try around here. The helicopters come out around here too. We saw one the other weekend but they must've been busy doing something else.

There are railroad police too. You can't even ride along the railroad tracks anymore. Alot has changed over the years and it's not for the better.
it seems like the law everywhere is going out of there way to bring us all down and try to keep us from doing what we love to do. obviously they don't hold the same passion for riding that we do. instead they hold a certain passion for beign pricks and giving us shit.
i had my blaster insured when i bought it. and i'm gonna insure my shee when it's done then if it ever gets tottaled or stolen then it's covered. i say if you have to plate it then you should drive that bitch to work. the way i look at it is if you have to plate it then you can drive it where ever when ever. but i guess that would only work in a perfect world. oh yeah in IL they have to plate race cars. tell me thats not stupid
