Just recently bought a 2006 Blaster 250.... i was told their is only a few hours on the new top and bottom end, but the bike has been sitting up for about 18 months. It seems to be in excellent shape and well kept. All fluids were drained from the bike and i bought it as is. I went to the yamaha dealership and got premix and ATF type F.... mixed 32:1 with 93 octane fuel. It seems like it wants to turn over but just isnt getting there. Bike has awesome compression. pulled the plug and it looked brand new, but i put a new NGK plug in it for good measure....Should i start simple and just clean the carb or is there something more i need to do since it sat up so long? I know my way around a motor somewhat, but wouldnt consider myself a mechanic. Just trying the little things before i take it to a shop.... Thanks for any feedback
