I've been trying to figure that out also i have several & all the 87-92 start out J109- & running #'s from 109xxx to 116xxx so from that their would have been 8000motors ? i thought they made a lot more q-racers than that ???

Nah, I asked about frame numbers awhile back. I have virtually zip for info beyond service manuals for Suzuki. That and hands-on, anyway.

I tried them, no luck. They just tried to tell me the difference between the 85/86-87-88/92 models. I already knew that. It's not really all that important, I was just wondering.

J109-101812 88 or an 89. i know its not an 87 because it doesn't have the large counter balancer seal

J109-116266 was told its a 90

J109-116387 i think it came from a 90, as the rear suspension was the old style

gh500, so with the numbers i have and rap720's , there was atleast 17000 engines, and probably more. we need the engine numbers form a known 92.

rap720, your bike is an 87, correct??

well now we need to know a s/n from a 92
the J109-101812 could it have been 87 someone put 88-92 counter balance in ?
i've read on the 500's the 87 was the best selling year for units sold i would think the 250's sales would have been up there anyway someone found how many 500's were sold by year where did they get that info ? i'd think suzuki could tell you that if you could get a hold of the right person at corp.suzuki
I'm guessing the beginning s/n on lt250r's was J109-100000 ??? & if you knew units by year you would have it ?

Well I know that I have an 87 cylinder, the crank is a 1988 or newer. So as far the the cases go I dont really know what year they are, I was told that it was a 1990 bottom end (tranny, crank,&cases) with a 1987 top-end.
