I have a 1996 Banshee apparently it has a 42 kit,Stage 4 head outside drag pipes and such.
I fired it up when I bought it,nice..
It sat for awhile then I went to fire it up and it just started reving up high so I shut it down.Since I cant get it to start without starting fluid and it revs up.

I synced the carbs since the right side was dangling there.
She still acts the same. I cleaned the plugs, the didnt look wet or black.
Pipes off I can still see descent to fresh cross hatching. My friend thinks the compression is a little low..

I too think its sucking air and leaning out,(the high rev up). The airleak
will not allow the crankcase to create enough volume (draft) to draw air
through the carbs, this is why you need to use starting fluid to fire it up.

i have had this problem three times with different quads and they have all been solved by changing the crank seal so to me it's a no brainier but thats because it's happened a lot
