On 2013 Aprilia SR50 Ditech scooter, Piaggio engine, fuel injection, 2-stroke.
When engine is warm (medium temp indicator), if I turn off engine then attempt to start again, engine will cough and die after a couple seconds.
If I let bike sit (say an hour) it starts up fine again.
Ideas on what I could fix or adjust? I'm just looking for basic 2-stroke insight here!
Tried taking gas cap off in case it was a gas tank vent issue, but that did not help.

I would say you’re dealing with a rich mixture. That’s typically a big sign when your 2 stroke application won’t start warm. A lot of times tuning your carburetor and leaning out the conditions will solve this issue. Your scooter is probably just getting too much gas so when you turn it off after running it it’s flooding the carburetor a bit. That’s why letting it sit is allowing it to fire back up.
