hi guys can anyone tell me how to change crank seal on clutch side on a 1982 rm 125???? stator side was no problem just not sure how to go about do,in the other side. any tips or info on how to do it would be great thanks..
You'll have to remove the clutch cover and the idler gear off the crankshaft, and maybe the clutch, it may be reverse thread but I'm not 100% positive on that one. Then its basically the same as the stator side.
1) Drain coolant
2) Remove Kick starter and lower brake pedal (you can lay the bike on its left side so you don't have to drain the gear oil)
3) Remove right side cover
4) Remove the entire clutch basket
5) Remove pto gear
6) Remove seal
7) reassemble
