I'm working on a 95 blaster. After doing a little reading I've come to find out the push rods and ball bearing are welded together. The push rod on the clutch rod (actuator) side is mushroomed. Do I have to split the case to get that mushroomed rod out. It looks that way to me? Any advise is much appreciated. :confused5

Ok, I came up with an idea. I'm gonna take a small 3 sided file and stick it down the clutch arm hole. Connect a drill the the push rod on the basket side and spin and file until the mushroom is gone. If it works I can get that welded push rod out with splitting the cases and taking the tranny apart. I'll let ya know if it works. Tomorrow is another day.

I Would Rather split the cases to inspect for cracks or damaged bearings , Never can tell if the bottom end is good unless you get a look at it , Just My experience with blaster bottom ends . Have owned and maintained them for over 10 years .
