hi, i just got my LT bored 40 over, ported and polished, and i was wondering if i could get a ballpark on jet sizes. i tried reaming my jet and its slobbering rich. i have one more jet that i can work with. anyone familiar with reaming? either that or just a ballpark on what jet to get. i was figuring a 250 or 260. any thoughts?

I just had my cylinder worked over because I ran mine too lean, the jet in my 38mm mikuni was a 280 main jet, since my mx port job and bore job I ran a 310 main jet @ 0' above sea level and still may need to go up more. Thats just my experience so far. Good luck!!!

mine ran too lean and put a hole in the piston. how do you tell if its running too lean or too rich? plug chop? and whats the standard operating temp on these?

Are you talking about the pilot jet or main? I would read the size on both and buy a jet kits from the parts store. Better to start rich and lean it out.
