I bought a 1986 lt 250r and when I go into second gear it bogs and dies. I took apart the whole motor. the only thing I can see that's wrong is the outer clutch basket. its chewed up and the springs in it are worn. I don't know whats the science in that but is that the problem??? any suggestions??
Where's your compression at? Are you getting good spark and how does the spark plug look? Does it start right back up and run fine in 1st gear after it dies? Have you cleaned the carb? Are you getting good flow out of the tank?
