86 lt230 & 89lt250 ?s

I was wondering if the 86 lt230 quadsport(red) stator cover is the same as the 89 lt250 quadsport


(white). Both motors have the sidekicker where u have to be off the bike to start it. Lmk tks the idiot I got it from had flex sealed the stator side cover. He said only the cover is cracked" I'm goin to take all tht crap off it tm & hopefully he wasn't bs-ing me, as the day I bring home I goto kick it & kicker hits foot peg (as it should) put the whole peg & bracket fly off. & carb cable was half fast & half stupid installed.the dude never told me.
