AC ProPeg Nerf Bars Installation

The picture to the left is what you will recieve for the AC ProPeg Nerf Kit. It includes the following
  • 2 ProPeg Nerf Bars
  • 2 Heel Kicks
  • 2 Black Pegs
  • 2 Nets
  • 1 Package of hardware
Your first job is to remove your old foot pegs and heel kicks. The bolts to your old foot pegs are on there pretty good so need to put some muscle behind it to get them off.
Now that all of that is off you need to install the appropriate black peg. Leave the bolts loose for now. This is a picture of the brake side.
Ok with the peg installed take the Nerf bar for that side and slip it on to the peg. With stock exhaust you will need to remove the expansion chamber to be able to get to the bolts in the front. I was able to do both sides with removing only one side.
Now it is time to install the heel kick to the Nerf bar. Before you do this take the rubber pieces out of the old heel kicks and install them into the AC Heel Kick. The heel kick and nerf do not line up very nice so you need to take the appropriate bolts and get them through the Kick and the Nerf and thread on the nut see picture.
Then just tighten them down evenly.
Next you need to attach the heel kick to the frame. This as well does not line up perfect so you will have to make it line up.
Last thing left to do is to place the plastic heel guard back on. Attaching it to the rear fender and the Heel kick. Repeat this for the other side then install your nets. Also most importantly tighten all of the bolts for the Nerf bar. I also put a little lock tight on the bolts to keep them in there. Below are pictures of the final assembly. Hope this helps and good luck.
