Hey. My name is Johnny and i thought i could post up my latest build. It's based on a CR500 frame from 1990. The rest of the parts are either from 1998, new or special stuff. The Engine is built from new and modified Engine cases to make room and to matchport it for the cylinder kit. the top end kit is a 550cc Liger. Together with this i use a Lectron 48mm carb with powerjet. gearbox is modified with cut gears and the clutch is a Hinson/Barnett with carbon fibre discs and tough springs. The crank is welded on the tins and pin and a Wössner steel rod is also applied. The wiseco piston is drilled for lighter weight and better small end bearing lubrication and cooling. Suspension is öhlins at rear and Marzocchi factory fork at front, all set up for supermoto/iceracing. Hope you like it.

Beautiful 500! Thank you for sharing, have not seen very many with the Liger cylinders on them yet.

Thank you! As far as i know this is the only steel frame 500 in the world with a Liger top end. it was a LOT of work to make everything fit. Several frame mods, extremely tight everywhere. It runs like a champ though, very nice .

Here is a video from my first ice test two weeks ago. Took it a bit easy. I did short stints and went in to check that all was good with engine, leaks, temp, jetting and so on but no problems whatsoever. Bike was a bit rich but that's where i want to start and jet down. Some suspension to adjust too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-F_...6BnkyXGCseco3g

Awesome build you can't say enough things about it. From the Rothman's color scheme, the in-depth engine work, the frame looks terrific, the suspension you really went above and beyond on and the eye to detail everything just flows together while nothing looks out of place. You did a great job and thanks for sharing this bike.

P.S. The wheels and hubs are very trick also.

It's gotta be a handful on the ice but with the "big bore" it's gotta have a nice low end pull thru the turns.
Where as a 125cc motor would be a high r.p.m. light switch.
